Cancellation and Refund Policy

Clear, fair terms to protect your booking

1 Cancellation Before Arrival

Full Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a full refund in the following circumstances:

  • Early Cancellation: Full refund if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of booking confirmation and at least 14 days before check-in.
  • Force Majeure: Full refund if cancellation is due to force majeure circumstances (see section 3 below).

Partial Refund

If you cancel more than 7 days before your scheduled arrival date, you will receive a 50% refund of the nightly rate (excluding service fees).

Important: No refund will be issued if you cancel less than 7 days before arrival, or for any unused nights after you have checked in.

2 Company-Initiated Cancellation

If Subtle must cancel your reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, we will:

  1. Immediate Notification: We will notify you immediately via email and/or phone.
  2. Provide Options:
    • Full refund of the amount you paid, processed within 5–10 business days
    • Assistance to find similar or better accommodation at no additional cost to you

Your satisfaction and trust are our top priorities. We will work diligently to minimize any inconvenience caused by a company-initiated cancellation.

3 Force Majeure

Force majeure refers to situations beyond anyone's reasonable control. You may be eligible for a full refund upon cancellation in the following circumstances:

  • Natural Disasters: Including but not limited to earthquakes, floods, and severe storms
  • Government-Imposed Restrictions: Official travel bans or restrictions affecting your ability to travel
  • Declared Epidemics: Officially declared epidemics or pandemics that prevent safe travel

Documentation Required: Guests must provide appropriate proof of force majeure circumstances if applicable. This may include official government notices, medical certificates, or other relevant documentation.

4 Cancellation Request Process

To ensure your cancellation is processed correctly and efficiently:

  • Submit Through Official Channels: All cancellation requests must be submitted through our customer service team or via our mobile application. Cancellations made through other channels may not be processed.
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
  • Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation request has been received and processed.
